Oyster shells have captivating, translucent layers that I love to paint. The oyster is traditionally associated with themes of opportunity, discovery, rarity, and beauty. Through this still life series of oyster shells, I invite the viewer to look at these objects in new ways.

Mixte Sur Papier Tissu marouflé sur toile Tissue paper is placed on fresh paints. The successive prints are then enhanced with inks, charcoal or pastels. The whole is mounted on canvas. Thus was born part of the series "Horizon" (2016-2026), which contains reinterpretations of the landscape in low angle. The unpredictable, the unknown, the surprising are on the other side of the horizon.

The wind blows across the lake’s surface, facing the splendid morning sun. A majestic, unhurried spirit, with wings lifted in flight, shines with a grand yet reserved radiance. The capacity of the mind expands our sky, extending dreams endlessly into the distance.
